While working on the software used to maintain and publish the SCA’s armorial database, I became interested in how it had come to be, and the people who had worked on it over its long history since 1976. I’ve talked at length with four different people who have spearheaded that effort at different times, and dug up written records that give us a glimpse at this system’s incremental development.
